My wife and I were invited to the COWBELL DIGITAL MUSIC launch in late July in support of my good friend Nik Phillips. He had just signed with the label and I was curious as how this Gold Coast digital enterprise would fare, and more importantly what they could offer artists like Nik as opposed to various other labels. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with their launch and their vision for the future. To get a better picture of the whole concept and to understand the reasoning behind this new approach, I organised an interview with their CEO Shayne Locke to expose the inner workings of the label.
